Hi folks, new to these parts. Thinking of widening and lengthening my 13' Gheenoe 1998 hi-sider given 70 week+ turn around on any new builds by them and wanting about a 16' long wider boat without investing 600+ hrs into a new build. I am using this project as a learning opportunity having never worked with glass. I looked in the archive and someone else has accomplished this but the old pictures are unavailable / have been deleted from that older post. Uncertain as to lay-up schedules, etc. I do know a lot of grinding and fairing etc etc are in my future. Curious if you guys have heard of anyone doing this or if possible to contact the gentleman who started that post (Sideshow's post?) Thanks in advance!

Last seen in 2014...probably on your own on this one.

Only other member I could find was Oops! and he was last on in 2012. Link to that thread:

Considering the blood, sweat, tears, lots of time (some have what could be termed "forever restorations"), and PPE involved (not to mention the glassing supplies) it may just be more cost effective to sell what you have and get what you want. That is unless this boat has some sort of sentimental value to it...

I agree.....going to be faster and cheaper to sell what you have and buy what you want

YUP... not a new concept and usually ends up not being accomplished.
Just grab another project with your needs.
