I'm at the point where I need to pull my 62 gal fuel tank thats full of fuel. I have a hand pump and a small electric pump that I bought to drain my oil in the engine. Is there anything I need to be careful of when syphoning this fuel out? Static electricity maybe? The hand pump is manual push pull all plastic, the oil pump is electric.

The hand pump will work, but will take a while, I probably use the same one to siphon gas out of my boat for my lawn equipment. Keeps the gas from getting old in the tank should I not use the boat for a while.

The biggest saftey concern I can think of is proper storage for the fuel once you get it out of the boat.
