hello I just bought a 32 foot Luhrs and the gel coat is getting that white powder on your cloths what is the best method of restoreing the gel coat back to that smooth finish like when its new. Thanks Bob

If you EVER want to patch, repair, recoat with gelcoat or Paint your hull in the future...PLEASE don't use Vaseline. While it does enhance the shine...TEMPORARILY, it is just that. A Temporary fix that will need to be re-done multiple times in the future. The bow section of my boat was chalky. I wet sanded with 1000 (one direction) then used 3M Finesse It with an electric buffer. I plan on waxing when it's a little warmer.
