Hi guys with the help of this form i now have a pinion gear but need forward and reverse gear help please pinion number is 324457

i would say it is a 1980, built in one of OMC's foreign plants.

the Letters "CR" check out as "Canadian derated - Rope start"
So its a Canadian model and it has a rope start but I don't know what is meant by derated.

There is no 20hp model in the parts list for 1980 so possibly a derated 25hp produced to satisfy some Canadian regulations ??

With luck you could discover what was done to reduce it to 20hp and up-rate it to 25 hp

thanks guys it is a 25 and now i cant find a gear set
