What is the recommendation for gear oil brand for a 1994 mercury 60hp 2 stroke. I’m thinking of using super tech from Walmart or the quick silver. Opinions?

Gears still cost big beer tokens for old motors.----Good factory oil is cheap considering.

Go to would be the usual quicksilver gear oil. You’ll need a litre bottle of it and the wee pump it can come with as an option. You’ll also need two of the fibre seal washers for the drain and vent points. No need for the high performance stuff on that engine, but there isn’t much price difference to be honest

Amsoil gear lube comes in a squeeze pack, it's synthetic and can be used for more than 1 season if no water infiltration. I've used it for years.
