God morning,
After tracking down and repairing several issues with my 1994 50HP Johnson I was having a hard time pulling fuel into the primer bulb from the tank. I decided to pull the pickup tube out of the gas tank to make sure the screen wasn't clogged up. I put a wrench on the square section of the pickup tube and one on the fuel inlet fitting and with out much force at all the fitting snapped off flush in the square section. I then put a wrench on the square section and tried to loosen that to get the pickup tube out. Can't budge it. Any suggestions? This is a plastic 12 gallon tank I salvaged out of a junk boat and put in my 74 Mirrocraft turned duck boat 4 or 5 years ago. Never had an issue before this year.
I appreciate any suggestions anyone might have
Thanks,
Bill
