my gas tank must have a hole in it, there was 18 inches of gas in the bilge, the boat has been hauled and emptied, it fell and was punctured why would it fall without a reason?
A little confusing! What fell -- the boat or the tank and what did it fall off of? What was punctured, the boat or the tank. If the boat fell it is possible the tank ruptured due being dropped or falling off of whatever it was on. If the boat hull was punctured in the area of the tank it is very possible whatever punctured the hull also punctured the tank. Things don't fall for no apparent reason. A little more detail would certainly help understand what actually happened.
