Gas fill problem...95 Wellcraft Eclipse sc 236 5.7 l merc

Have a problem filling my tank...other than cost. Have to pump EXTREMELY slow. Tried to clean the vent from the hull side, but cannot get any object down there, assume there is an anti-siphon valve. Want to remove the vent from the tank, but am not sure which line is the vent. I can see the main fill line but the other 2 lines that are on the tank look identical....help.....!

anti siphon valve is on the fuel line that goes to engine, is in the barbed fuel hose connector that threads to fuel tank inside is a metal ball that can corrode or stick. you may have dirt dobbers mud nest inside of hull vent if there is no screen ???

I can see the main fill line

It should be a hose.
Look at the orientation of the hose in relation to the filler neck and the fuel tank.
In other words, is the hose laying flat, or is there a downward angle from filler neck to tank?

There is a screen and I removed it and tried to fish a metal coat hanger with the end taped off but hit what felt like an "anti siphon" valve, but could have been another screen at the top of the outlet. I want to pull the proper hose off the tank and blow it out back towards the hull.

Try nylon weed-eater line instead of a wire hanger.

my problem besides price, is fuel comes spraying out of the vent hose i guess that means its full? takes awhile generally when the pump hits the triple digits. i'd also try that weed eater line it has a little more give and will bend easier then that coat hanger, since your vent should have a few bends in it.

Pulled the line this weekend and blew it out. There was gas that had backed up in the line, blocking the air flow...thanks for everyone's assistance!
