Gale 7.5hp Montgomery Ward Sea King

I need some help on the proper orientation of the cogs mounted on the flywheel. The cogs engage the recoil mechanism when the starter rope is puled. Unfortunately I didn"t photograph them before I removed them.

Sorry, gotta disagree.. No 7.5hp Gale motors ever. Buccaneer or otherwise. Might have been an Evinrudé, Chrysler or Cinton or ? Produced motor. Post pictures and w÷ can identify.

Montgomery Ward used Chrysler outboards once Gale / Buccaneer pulled the plug.

Did they ever use Eska outboard in the 1970s?
