these have all been listed before but gotta repost every now and again. There are more, just the ones I've seen this morning.

haul (hull)
trailor (trailer)
acel (axle)
axel (axle)
sale (sell)
bang bang (that one is just annoying)

That would be a great project boat. But, not at $1500. Maybe $900 if he threw in the trailer.

Ads like this slay me. No trailor (sic), yet 1/2 the pics show one and even one all by itself? Just amazing!

The "no leaker" is a motor/outdrive donor done the "quick and easy" way with 10 minutes of saw work. Of course it doesn't leak - Would you put it in the water?

it didn't leak a week ago but 3 days ago we ripped the engine and half the transom out :) i like to call the ones with nice boats for a dollar and then ask why if it isn't a dollar would you advertise it as such lol

If my wife wouldn't kill me, I'd actually grab this one - but she says two project boats are too many already. https://racine.craigslist.org/boa/d/...386028126.html

If the bottom end on the outboard is good it's worth $800.00 around here. For 100 bananas we would jump on that boat in a NY minute if local. If just for the trailer, if it had one, engine parts, back to back seat carcasses and mooring cleats alone. We convert small boat trailers to utility trailers, they are sold before we rebuild them. Guys don't want to put anything in the boxes of their new $65,000.00 (or more) pick up trucks in case they scratch the bed liner. ????? Well worth it.

The Admiral caught me looking at this ad: "We don't need another boat." Well, yea, but, but...

Around here it's worth $500 running and trailer.. But for $100, a guy could part it out and make money.... A couple bucks anyway....

I am not a proven skeptic.... but... I am curious how one determines the "outdrive is good" without knowing if the engine is.

Actually, I was wondering the same. I contacted him about the title and found his reply a bit smug.

"Its a risk, just like any business venture, and that's whys its $300 and not $600-800.
More than likely, you cam get a title, but as you are aware, there is a small chance you wont be able to. Then, it will cost u $150 to landfill it and you will have an outdrive worth $500, a trailer worth $500 and engine parts worth $500-600.
If nobody buys it , then I will simply apply for a title and repost the ad for $750 next spring
Thank you for your interest"

First off it was titled in Illinois and being sold in Wisconsin - red flag

Secondly, being sold without a title can be a nightmare in Wisconsin

Third - I'd almost be willing to bet it has a lien on it Illinois

Good one to run from IMO

No reason it needs to be a "risk". As far as the title goes. $500 for the trailer is a stretch. $500-$600 for engine parts that he doesn't know the condition? Yeah, ok.... What happened to the $1500 worth in parts..... Yeah, run......

LOL Yeah seems a little sketchy to me. Don't mean to be cynical but I've been down that "it ran when we parked it" wayyyy too many times.

Don't need a title to part it out. Seems like the owner doesn't want to deal with it either. Then, what does one do with the hull after it's stripped? Maybe break even with the trailer, or, at least close. The rest is a crap shoot..... OMC....

We bury them after smashing them up in a big hole in the back 40 of the farm. `Everyone fights over who gets to run the backhoe. The look on the face of a buddy who thought he could save a old bowrider for a few bucks was priceless. In a few hundred years some Aliens doing an archeological survey will think the land must have been under water as there are about a dozen boats buried there so far. A 17 foot glass boat will cost about $600.00 to go to landfill here, I don't want to think what a big cruiser would cost. That's why they give late model glass boats around here away for cheap or free. They should be paying to get rid of them I say.

Same thing around here with furniture, appliances etc. They try to give them away so they don't have to pay a premium at the transfer site...... A laptop, $15. A small desktop monitor, flat screen not the old boat anchors $15, same has a large tv(which is more understandable). I went to MN and got rid of both for a total of $6.... I can't imagine dropping off a hull, if they would even take it....
