gm280 , Here in Ontario Canada when we buy retail you pay all the tax (13%) upfront. When you sell the buyer has to licence the boat, car or trailer you pay the tax once more. When we buy gas there is provincial tax and then federal tax on top the provincial so you pay tax on the tax, lol.
I'd like to watch them take these monstrosities out for a lake test.
If a new car in Ontario is sold one pays 13% tax plus PDI, AC tax and a few others. If that same car is sold 5 times in it's lifetime before it makes it's way to the scrap heap the taxes and fees paid to the Province and Feds will be more than the initial price of the vehicle! We should all get together and start up a new Country. You can not lose money.
