Wow those are some real deals Scott! On the first one, what do you want from Glen Burnie? :p and the second one, I bet there isn't 1 new part on that motor.

People are funny. Sorry about the big pics BTW, I even went to the imageshack or whatever site, and they appeared small there, but I guess their links are large.

Interesting, rebuilt from the ground up, yet they couldn't get a few cans of spray bomb to make it look a little nicer?

http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-boats-watercraft-sailboats-Looking-for-a-Sailboat-to-get-some-gold-W0QQAdIdZ191270364

Hi,

My name is Roger,

Someone gave me this map with an " X " on it and said there was some gold stashed there. The problem is that its on some island in the Atlantic Ocean.

I'm looking for a sailboat to go and get it. I can afford about 50 bucks or so.

Oh it would be cool if it had a fridge that I could store some Gatorade in. I'm going to be gone for a few days.

Let me know,
Thanks,

Maybe it should really be $600.

Send him an email and tell him the most you can give him is $5K and see what he says.

Garage kept, that's gotta be 3k of the price, rent ain't free for the boat ya know! He should throw an extra grand on top for cost of insurance for all those years.

Sorry, no pictures yet. Boat is stored in heated garage in McGregor. I will get pictures next time I am up there.

Boat has had transom replaced with "SeaCast" composite material. Floor and seats were redone 4 years ago. Old floor was soft, but not torn out. New wood just put on top of it. 4 pedestal seats, plus open bow. Color is the orange "sparkly" color that was so popular in the 70's. It is not a pretty boat.

However, multiple times at the boat launch, as people were laughing at me as I pulled up, I got to laugh back when their pretty boats weren't starting, and I was out enjoying the lake. Super motor: Mercury in line 6, 140 horses. First start after a long sit is tough, but lights right up if used regularly. I only use it once or twice a season now, so hoping to find new owners that will enjoy it as much as I used to.

According to the Hammond 17 footer specs, neither came with an "inline Mercury 140hp". Why go through the trouble of the Seacast transom and then just slap new wood over a soggy floor?

This caught my eye because I'd love to have an old Hammond, but for $3200 and obviously needing to rip out the floor at the VERY LEAST, I'm going to have to say "pass" on this one. I'd dump my Glastron right now if the right Hammond came my way...not this one. Not to mention this is the closed bow version since it is "orange sparkly" colored.
