There's your money....

That '03 Johnson 150 has probably been used in salt(seems like an offshore rig to me)...so maybe not worth that price? Could be a sweet-running OB too though.

BUCKTOWN Special
Biggest Damn boat in Bucktown
Nice looking Boat.
Engine - two, count em two 150 Johnsons
You can put atleast 5 over-weight bucktonians in there and bull**** over who caught the biggest fish that day.
This is you - Irritated, aggrivated, pissed off, you want to just grab your kids arm and dislocate it because he just wont be shut up.
Once you back that boat in and you start that key, either in bucktown or grand isle etc, you just start smiling. I don't understand, its great. Go head, think about it. I bet your smiling. Take a look at whats to offer on this head turning, attention grabbing, blood pressure dropping, 23 year old girl who just dropped out of college and wears bikini's 24/7 who just wants to party with you cause of your new boat. You know what I'm saying?!

I'd bet if you have an l drive and need parts/replacement motor that price is a steal. Can you even go through a dealer to get a replacement L-drive?

Okay, this is a.. uhh... er...mmm... huh! And it comes with a free trailer, too...

1972 Penn Yan Project Boat - $500 (Leechburg)

A friend of mine sold me a boat a couple years back that he forgot to take the plug out of and drain the block over the winter. Sooooooo.... The wood rotted some in the floor, some water got into the engine, and there is/was a small crack in the block on the engine. The crack in the block is very small, and I stuck some cold weld on it since it is not in a cylinder wall. The engine turns over with a crescent wrench, but I've never started it. It was going to fix it up, but then I caught my wife cheating on me and sending dirty pictures to other guys.

To make a long story short, the boat is in my ex-wife's name, and will very shortly be in mine. It's a 21 foot fiberglass V-hull. It has a Chevy 327 V8, trailer, 2 covers, and a bunch of other crap. I don't have time for it. It's a nice looking boat. Email me for pics (of the boat, not my ex-wife). It's frozen in place right now, but once everything thaws, I want it out of my yard. I'm sick of looking at it.

Poor guy. But I still want to see pics...lol

This beauty comes with a real nice custom captins chair and cost a lot to build......oh and a free set of waders to boot just in case you get swamped.

Looks like a death trap waiting to catch some unsuspecting soul..

Re: Funny "TLC needed" boat ads on Craigslist.

Going to look at this one tomorrow just for ***ts and giggles.....

http://wyoming.craigslist.org/boa/1617858023.html

i have a 1979 starcraft with a 350 inboard motor in it and the outdrive is no good. i have no intention on messing with it. the seats may need re done. i do not know if the motor is any good on it. it will need work to get it on the water. i dont have any pictures of it but if anyone wants to see it it is at a shop. in storage. no bill is due on it. i registered it till 2011 but have never used it and dont want to spend the money to fix it. a person offered me 300 for it but has not paid anything on it so i will settle for 300 or after seeing it if that is to much please make an offer and i will more than likely take it so i can have it gone. if interested email me then i will say where it is and give you my phone number to set up a time and day. the place it is i will call and make sure they are open. they usually are monday thru friday but not on weekends. it is in a fenced yard to so it has to be when they are there. also i do not have a cover for it and the trailer will need rewired for the tail lights. it is tandem axle. bought this off ebay so dont know much about it again. please serious inquiries only. thank you

Re: Funny "TLC needed" boat ads on Craigslist.

I really laughed at this one:

http://norfolk.craigslist.org/boa/1626671476.html

-------------------
For sale ? One kayak that sinks. Why would you want a kayak that sinks? Hmmmm?

? You can use it as a lawn ornament or the ultimate bird/squirrel feeder.
? Maybe cut it in half, and plant flowers in it and have the most unusual planter in the neighborhood.
? Fill it with ice and use at as a really cool drink cooler at your next party.
? Put it on your car and drive around and look cool.
? Stick it in the corner of your living room, and impress your date when you bring them home.
? Invite your arch enemy kayaking with you (hey, it sinks).
? Kayak at the beach in front of that really hot lifeguard and hope they notice you sinking and come out and rescue you.
? Use it as a chew toy for your Pitbul.
? Use it as a scratching post for your cat.
? Use it as a massive condo for your hamster/guinea pig/other rodents.
? Already own a kayak? Get this one, invite a friend as a practical joke, and then practice assisted rescues.
? Brush up on your own swimming skills by swimming back to shore when it sinks.
? Get a full workout when you lift it after it fills up with water (it weighs 38lbs dry, or 400+lbs full of water!).
? Use it in your backyard pool this summer, and make a game out of who can stay afloat the longest.
? Use it as a sled when we got as much snow as we?ve recently gotten. Call it ?ka-boggining?

The story of this kayak? I bought it brand new, because it was light weight. I used it about a season and a half, and then went on an organized paddle with several hundred people. It sank with me in it and I had to be rescued from the water. It was EMBARRASING to say the least. After figuring out what happened (that water got inside the sealed hollow middle), I contacted the manufacturer. They sent a tube of epoxy and vague instructions how to fix it. The epoxy held for a few more short paddles, and then it sank again.

I contacted the manufacturer again, and this time spoke to a VP. They were very apologetic, knew there was an issue with this model, and offered to replace it for free.

GREAT, right?

WRONG! They sent a follow up email a couple of days later saying that they wouldn?t honor their offer?

So, now I?m without a working kayak, and no money to replace it. I thought one of you fine folks out in craigslist land might be able to find a good use for it.

$200 or highest offer. You pick it up, and take it away (looking cool the whole time with it on your car!)

P.S. The picture is from the manufacturer and is not the actual boat. The actual boat is the same color, looks virtually the same, but sinks.
