Not a TLC ad but worth a good chuckle. $20 trolling motor + $100 outboard + 2,500 shuttle craft and jet ski somehow equals $8,000. Must be $5,000 worth of James Bondness in there.

That Tyee is what I used to have, mine was a bit newer, but I would be jump all over that one. Lunds do hold their value well, my guess is just a new floor, maybe stringer and transom, but in the end it will get a better resale price than most boats. I really regret selling mine. The 115 Johnson should be just fine pushing it around too.

If it has been sitting bow up, plug out, why assume new stringers and transom? And (if that's an aluminum boat) don't they have aluminum stringers?

I would consider it a better value than, a fiberglass i/o that has sat outside uncovered for a few michigan winters. Aluminum boats hold their value for better and longer than most glass boats do. Additionally that boat is on the west coast bringing a higher market value. In Tennessee I would say that $1200 is a fair deal for that boat, and I wouldn't pay more than $900 for a Glasser that is 24 years old unless it were in immaculate condition.

A very basic restoration could be done on that boat for $1000 and probably get $3500 out of it on the west coast where it is.

7 pieces of 3/4" ply 4 gallons of Spar is about $400 rusto and sand for the floor another $75 new seats from the sportsman guide $500

$975.00

On the other hand, you can find some good buys on CL. A few years ago I purchased a sailboat with trailer for $300. Seller made no outrageous claims about it, and because of the photos, I brought a tire/wheel with me so I could get it home. I sold it three years later on CL for $2300 after adding a 9hp used CL motor ($600) and some TLC. It was an easy project and I made out, but it could easily have gone the other way.

Makes me wonder about the seller when he says "18hp mercury gas tiller outboard motor" and has a picture of a motor with the name Evinrude clearly visible. Looks like he wanted a Merc though, seems to be painted (mostly) black.

A tarp "OVER" it. I'd love to see how that donation goes, I'm sure the Goodwill will run right over to pick her up. Bonus points for the really descriptive title he came up with.

What a waste of a great tri hull. I'll take it...

New floor, stringer, and transom sounds like a lot of work to me. Marine grade wood isn't all that cheap either. $1800 plus materials and time ends up being quite an investment for a boat that old. I'm sure the seats aren't in good shape either. That kind of work is definitely outside my skill set/dedication. Would you really consider that boat a good value? I'm going to sell an 89 Four Winns I/O this spring and I'll be happy to get half that. The floor is solid, but the wood in the seat cushions is shot and so is the wood on lid over the motor. If I left it uncovered in our Michigan weather for a few years there would be nothing left of it.

It is a bunch of work, no question about it. $1800 doesn't buy you much of anything in the boat world, and alum boats can hold their value better than a glass boat. I don't think you will find a sea worthy running boat for that price, and if you don't want the project, just be prepared to pay considerably more. The value is there on that Lund, just maybe not in your eye's. I can't speak if the stringers are alum or wood, my comments were a "worse case scenario".

1967 GULLWING BOAT Why did this seating arrangement never catch on????
A new take on bench seating. I'd love to see people actually tooling around a lake in that thing. Imagine you have company and someone wants to go for a boat ride. What's the look on their faces like when they see that seating?
