Is that why I got funny looks at HD when I asked where they kept boat floors? Lowes didn't help either.

yeah.... I'm going to use that when I head in for my next batch of plywood!

Talk about lazy. I did a quick search on CL for Tenn and found from 16' to 20', exactly what he's looking for.

Yes I am lazy, I know it. :) but can't find anywhere even close to what I am specifically looking for

If you can't buy a boat until you sell the current F&S, what's the status of that non-op motor?

And you SHOULD have bought the 18' SC you & EZ discussed.............. A month or 2 of boat storage for even $50/mo would have been well worth it, to keep it off the Admiral's radar, if you liked that boat as much as it seemed, and for $1000 no less

Rebuilt the starter this morning the F&S is running like a champ, just making sure I am getting my best deal ;-) If it is still available tomorrow I probably am going to take the plunge. I was hoping to have a little cash left over out of the Fish and Ski to start the resto though. You know a $1000 boat with $2,0000 in resto cost on top of net investment $3000, worth about $1800 when done. The smile on my wife and kids faces after the resto in boat for the first launch is priceless though. We do it for love not money.

Anyways I thought it was a funny c/l ad none the less.

I finally have a contribution to this thread. I know Cobalts go for a premium, but this one is a bit ridiculous. I bought my '95 Cobalt 220 for $5k and it was in far better shape than this wreck.

22 foot Cobalt boat

I have an 1989 22' 2-tone blue/white cobalt boat with an 454 motor. The battery and carburetor DO NOT go with the boat. The boat has a clear title and the trailer is home-made. Asking $5000 for it.

Good contribution. Cobalts indeed go for premiums! But why the carb and the battery only? Why not the distributor and the valve covers too?

"Homemade trailer" = "stolen. Couldn't get a title for it"! ;)

No carb or battery = blown motor he doesn't want you to try before buy.

Going by the pictures, they are the most valuable items on that particular boat.

I realize that, but why stop at those items? ;) The valve covers and distributor were nice. Nothing else on the boat was! I can't believe he actually took photos of the interior. hahaha

It looks like paper tags on the Cobalt trailer. I bet he recently bought this thing and put a new carb & battery in it and figured out it's seen better days. Trying to cut his losses.

Or the Admiral took one look and said get that POS oughta my yard. LOL
