Hey guys, Im another new guy around here and I have a few questions (oh man I know). Anyway, I picked up a 1973 Bayliner Quartermaster with a Volvo Penta AQ130 motor and a Chrysler 270 outdrive(I assume, nameplate seems to be missing) My question is since I cant seem to find any info on these boats (too old apparently), is this boat supposed to have a permanent fuel cell type tank, or is it supposed to be an external, removeable tank? Any guideance is helpful, thanks.

Re: Fuel tank question

Welcome hitman......i dont know of any i/o powered boats without an internal tank...most likely its under your deck, near the center of gravity..there should be an inspection plate where the fill/vent hoses attach...

isnt there a gas cap on the hull cap?..follow that to the tank
