Hey all… question regarding where to place the neoprene strips when installing the fuel tank. I’ve got a new aluminum tank on the way.
should these strips be affixed to the tank or placed in the boat? Ive seen it both ways. You tube videos and what not. I’m a bit confused as to what approach to use. What’s the consensus of the group.
Ill be using 5200 to put them in.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Why use 5200 ?
How was the old tank held in place ? How many gallons was it ? Are you just doing a quick replacement to sell the boat ?

I would think it would depend on adhesion of the strips. If your tank has to be shoved into place, you don't want the rubber strips being knocked out of place.
