The pipe plug at the base of the carb cannot be used for fuel pump overflow. This is a direct vacuum source for the motor. You can tap a hole on top of the flame arrestor and have the tube go to it. Can even do it on the bottom, just make sure it has a tube which puts it above the carb. This way if it starts to leak, the fuel goes down the carb and not on the motor
