I have a 1990 merc 115. I was thinking that I had a fuel pump issue so I took a part the pump to see what was inside, pretty simple thing........question is how do you know if the diaphragms are bad or do they just get weak over time?Also one of the check valves appears to be partially sucked in.
the motor was running fine and then all of a sudden lost power like it ran out of fuel hit the primer to keep the speed up, but I got back to the harbor and it ran fine at about 8 miles /hr. does this sound like it is just getting weak??
