Fuel problems

Hello to all and thanks in advance for your help. I have read lots of post on the same problem that I am having, but I would like to get some specific answers to my problem. I have a 1997 Johnson 150 that runs great as long as you pump the fuel primer every 5-10 seconds. So let me tell you some specifics that I have done. First the motor is running on a brand new tank, new vent, new fuel lines, new hand primer, and is also running on pre-mix. I had a leak on the vapor sperator but that also has been fixed. I have checked all the hoses and conections and have found no other fuel or air leaks. From everthing that I have read I THINK that the fuel pump is bad. So I have orderd a new fuel pump that is OEM for pre-mix, it comes with all new fittings, o-rings, and the new blue fitting that screws into the motor for the pulse.

That sounds like it might fix your problem.
Do a compression test,just for fun??

Well, if you are sure you have no air leaks, you have done the right thing... What happened to the original OMS pump?

Did you try running it on a seperate tank? Bypass the fuel water filter? Too much oil clogging the filter? Remove anti siphon valve on tank?

Thanks for the replies, the old pump had already been converted. I did check the compression on all cylinders and all 6 where right at 100. I have also tried removing the fuel cap but that to did not work. I got the new pump today and installed it, checked all the hoses to make sure they were in good shape with good clamps/ tie wraps etc. everything looks good. It's pouring rain so I cannot try it out. I have not tried running on small tank bypassing the fuel water separator since I installed a new tank, vent and all new lines. Any additional comments and thoughts are very much appreciated. I am very anxious to get her running!!! Could it be a carburetor problem. Just trying to cover everything.

Thanks for all the help. After replacing the fuel pump, she fired right up today and ran very well. Started it up several times and let it run fr about 20 minutes. All is finally well!!
