just bought a 1971 johnson 50, at least i think its a 71. Need to know the proper mixture. the former owner said he ran 35 to 1. the model # is 50esl71es. serial# e3477419.
I have a 1967 Johnson 40hp. The original manual that came with calls for "The correct fuel mixture is 1 part of oil to 50 parts of gasoline."
And: "U.S. MEASURE - 1 pint of oil to 6 gallons of gasoline."
