fuel keeps running

I rebuilt the primer solenoid and replaced all solenoid lines with red clear gas hose also replaced all fuel lines,now in the automatic position when the motor is running I can see that gas still keeps flowing through the primer hosesis this normal,I mean engine seems to still run good(on the muffs)have not tried on the water cause I cant seem to resolve this cold starting issue and i have to prime it to start hot or cold.I thought gas was only supposed to run through these lines only when the key was held in?Can somebody help.THANKS:cool:Sorry guys its a 1979 johnson 200 hp

Maybe the clear fuel hose is a problem, you keep looking at it but don't know what it means. If it was regular fuel hose you wouldn't think about it.

Sounds like the bulb isn't sealing and fuel is draining back to the tank.
It might help to point the arrow on the bulb UP, if its slightly down the checkvalve could leak backward.
