Fuel hose size

1975 Evinrude 9.9 motor…..the fuel line from the fuel pump to the carb.calls for 5/32” hose which seems to be hard to find at auto stores. Would putting in 3/16” or 1/4” hose be OK or is it that critical?

Check with any marine dealer, use the correct hose for the fuel line that will determine if or how your motor will run ...

Lots of folks use 3/16" line and clamp tight to make it work. I always use 5/32" myself.. Any marine dealer will be able to get it, as stated ^
