I have a 96 CrownLine 5.7LX EFI Mercrusier, Bravo One, engine Serial # OF795033. The motor starts fine and idles good when I start to give it throttle it starts to go then the injectors shut down, but it will run at full throttle, anything in between will die, I cleaned the check valve on top of the fuel tank replaced the fuel line fron the tank to the diaphram fuel pump, changed the fuel filter. When I disconnect the fuel line from the diaphram pump there is hardly any fuel in the line from the tank, does this mean I have a bad diaphram pump? Any Help would be GREAT..

Thanks
Rod

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,....

Disconnect the Outlet of the diaphragm pump, 'n plumb it into a jug,...

Turn the motor over on the starter, 'n observe the discharge into the jug,... it should be a pretty good flow,...

Bein' a 'puter controlled motor,... Ya pretty much gotta run the codes to see why it's doin' that,...

Sounds like a sensor issue to Me...

Re: Fuel Flow

i believe there is 2 pumps the mechanical pump that pulls it from the tank and feeds the electic pump which feeds the injectors, i'm thinking the mechanical pump is bad not the electric pumps does this make any sence, would that one even show up on the codes??
