2001 Johnson 200HP Ocean Pro, When it's hot out (85 and up) I see fuel dripping onto the driveway. Not sure if its a float adjustment or maybe vent blockage since I do have to pump the bulb up to get pressure in the line.

What do you think? Runs fine with no issues.

New to me since the boat is new to me, engine in the down position, I assume the vent is fine since when out on the water everything works like it should, looks like all 6 might be doing the same thing as seen in the photo unless its the 2 top carbs leaking down on the others.

Hard to replicate since I have to wait for a hot day once I clean it off.

Check the carburetor bowls.-----If they have not been replaced they are likely warped.----Take note of jets should you need to replace them.----Torque on the screws is 10 inch lbs I believe.

Those plastic carbs have a bad habit of developing warped carb bowls which leak. You might look closely and see if it is the bowl-to-body surface that is leaking.

Also, check the thermostats. If they stick or collect gunk, that helps the motor overheat, helping the warpage.

You should rebuild the waterpump, unless you know when it was last done.

This is cool just sitting in the driveway and not running. I come home from work and there is fuel dripping down off the lower unit. Clean is all off and I see nothing for days till it hits about 85 degrees air temp. I want to put in a slip but that's not going to happen with random fuel leaking.

Lower seals and water pump is already done.

I think it incumbent for you to figure out the origin of the leak. Your motor has a vapor separator with a needle and float, six carbs with needles and floats, plus a vapor pump, OMS pump and other components like vacuum hoses and fuel lines. Any of them could be leaking.

It only happens if the air temp is in the 80s or higher so I was hoping that would narrow things down a bit. It's also happening when the motor wasn't running and is cool. I might not see the 80 for another few weeks looking at the weather. I could clean it now and run it but nothing is going to drip while it's in the 50s. In the photos above you can see the fuel drip just below each airhorn.

Your motor does not have a VS or vapor pump. Does it smoke heavily when you start it? If so need to change the cap on oil tank can cause what you are seeing. I really dont like the carb picture as someone has had #3 carb off and installed a kit but other are original also see worm clamp on carb instead of fuel tie

The previous owner removed the oil reservoir at some point and the motor has been running on premixed fuel. VRO2 fuel pump is still there so I need to look into rebuilding it and reinstalling the oil reservoir. I don't see anything leaking from the fuel pump area.

Also notice that only a couple of carbs have the new (brown) viton gaskets which implies a repair, not rebuilt.

Rebuilt my carbs this Spring for the same problem….new o-rings, gaskets, needles and seats, problem solved

Excessive fuel tank pressure build up on + 80 F days ? Remove the tank fill cap on several hot days to test.
Is the fuel comming out of the throat of all carbs ? Or only some of them ?
Reread your NO PRESSURE in the bulb line............ Check ALL hoseses and all fuel line connections for a leaking spot. Or even several places at that age and repairs to engine .

When my bowls were leaking I sanded them on a flat surface to smooth out the warpage. Also, there's a port on the bottom of the bowls that is known to leak too. I sealed mine off with JB Weld. I also replaced the bowl gaskets when reinstalling. My carbs haven't leaked since. It's probably been around 5 years back I did this.

One tip... If you replace the gaskets, stay far away from the cheap Chinese Amazon/E-Bay gasket kits. Don't ask how I know...

I just went to pick up the boat. I had initially installed a shutoff valve and that worked.

I then developed a hard start issue and everything from the tank to the fuel pump was ruled out. I rebuilt the carbs with BRP kits and torqued to factory specs. Then the motor would start for about 5 seconds and then cut out. Being frustrated with this I brought the boat to a local Evinrude/Johnson guy to look at it.

He cleaned the carbs and installed new BRP kits on them. He said things were torqued down too tight. He only toques the bowls and side plats 10-15 inch lbs or the plastic gets distorted and the floats hang up. He also said that the torque specs from the Evinrude and SELOC manuals are too high and will cut through the gaskets like a cookie cuter.

I think my initial issue was worn valve needles and seats. Not sure what caused the hard start issue, but it's all fixed now.
