Re: Fuel Delivery Issue

If leaking from the back portion of the fuel pump, the diaphragm is usually shot. Repair with the repair kit or replace the pump.

Re: Fuel Delivery Issue

Not getting fuel to my 1982 Johnson. When I squeeze the bulk in the gas line it does not become firm. Rather gas leaks from the fuel pump. The fuel pump it pretty basic from that I can tell (http://www.boats.net/parts/search/BRP/JOHNSON/1982/J25ELCNE 1982/FUEL PUMP/parts.html)

Am I right in assuming that a bad gasket in the pump could be the only cause?
Yes its pretty basic,However there is no diagram for dissembly of the part1 the body/assembly.becareful with that, take it apart slowly and get some good photos watch out for small springs....Slooowly lots a pics.Or you,ll be back asking how it goes back together
