Bruce, If I just unbolt the engine block from the engine mount then I should be pretty close right.

Pull the lag bolts out that hold the mounts to the stringers. That is the easiest way.

Just afraid of pulling lags because they are most likely totally in the wood and if I pull them out they will never fit right again.

The mount to block bolts Ain't the way to do it....
