Friends Merc cruiser hard starting after warm

A friend of mine has a 1987 350 GM with a Merc Cruiser. He is having a hard time starting it after it is warmed up. He needs to put in WOT to start it.<br />This does not have an electric choke. Any Ideas? <br />Thank's Beef

My 1st Guess is;.........<br /><br />The Carb is Leaking Gas,+ Flooding the motor.......

I had this problem: Choke was not working and it was very hard to start(after it warmed up). Had to gun it and keep pumping. When I supposedly had the choke repaired it did flood the carb one time and it was hard to start. So then it worked too good. Ya just can't win sometimes

May just need a tuneup. If the spark is week it will flood a lot easier.
