Brought one home yesterday, 45 minutes in the woods, 45 minutes dragging him out. Boy am I out of shape.

He is only freezer meat until it hits the table for dinner. Good looking 8 pointer, 64.

Nice! If you would have left the guts behind he would have been a lot lighter. I started using those otter sleds to pull them outta the woods. Yup, you find your heart in a heart beat. You swear you're gonna die...... lol

Wow! Can you say Boone and Crockett? Lucky 13..... They say drop tines are common. I've never seen one in the 40+ years of hunting....

I debated gutting right away, versus dragging in daylight. I also hate gutting on the ground.

I have a sled but didn't bring it to work that day. Have to plan a little better.

Better to ask forgiveness than permission.😜
Until I want to go to sleep

Don't want her or anyone hurt, but many times I think if one of those hits her car, she would probably say "kill them all"

Wow, that is an amazing rack.
Hunting State land and liking meat in the freezer, I tend to take what I can get.😉

Have two tags left, will see what happens.

The insurance companies in Michigan push hard to open up hunting as much as possible. With 1.7 million deer in the state, it makes for a lot of accidents. Had four with in 50 feet of the truck driving home tonight.

I hear ya … we hunt mostly federal lands, stiff competition. Friend was hunting on his own land that boarders fed land. Every deer I shoot is a trophy to me, doesn’t matter if it is a doe or a buck. We do have antler restrictions in the state, basically 3 on one side to be legal.

Do you have to look for a brow tine? Or just 3 in any combination. 3 minus tine, brow tine +2?
