Good Evening,
I have recently purchased a 21' centre console and would like to find out more information about it, however, I can't find any information. It is a Freeport Offshore 21. Does anyone know anything about these boats?

Thanks

What does the hull id number start with ??
FQR ?

That would be freeport marine, Houston TX, out of business in 2008

the pointy end is the bow
there are no manuals (for any boat)
there are manuals for the motor/drives

as Roscoe pointed out, if the MIC code in your HIN is FQR, they are OOB

Very funny! I do not have possession of the boat yet as it is in storage and shrink wrapped. I appreciate the info about the HIN. Apparently it is an old rescue boat from Florida.

so it was sunk in a hurricane, abused, and run hard?

I think the point is that it's going to be pretty much impossible to tell you anything worthwhile without physically seeing the boat and doing some pretty close inspection.

I have had budget boats that had pointy bow and flat transom diagrams and no other info. I have also had upper scale boats that had comprehensive owner's manuals, including electrical and mechanical diagrams. Of course, the engine manuals are a separate book.

Google the manufacturer from you HIN, and then contact them directly by phone. If they are still in bizness, maybe you get glean what you need.

If "rescue"means it was sunk and an insurance issue, forget about any manuals because the boat might not even be serviceable.

My point exactly. You aren't going to know until you've seen it, and inspected it, first hand.
