Boat is getting abit dusty and dirty, yesterday i made the floor hatch i just need to cut aslot into the bilge bulkhead to fit the steering and gear cables into that coat the floor piece and paint it

Today i started making a seat box mould i will be glassing the inside and popping the fibreglass seat box out, the lid of the mould is rough cut and over sized to allow a fillet of glue around the outside for mould strength only

Tomorrow im hopping to make the T top roof mould more pics coming

Forgot to add there will be a live bait tank built into the seat mould likely at the back middle

The T top canopy isjustmade from compressed wood and hot glued together we are entering hot weather so the canopy mould will fall a part, next step will be to lay the mould on a table and fillet my joints in prep for glassing

I have been told it looks like an american built boat

But this is how

This is only possibly true if you are considering resale value, and including your labour in that value. These forums are full of boats that people have rebuilt to be as good (or better) than new for FAR less money than they could have bought a new boat for. I have one myself... I don’t have the money to go buy a new boat. I did have the money to buy a used rotten boat and functional trailer. I rebuilt both to better than new condition. My boat is entirely rot free. New electrical. New interior. New seals and bearings in the drive. Trailer has new tires, bearings, bunks, wiring, and lights.

The entire project cost me less than $4000. Not including labour as I consider it a hobby. Could I buy an entirely rot free, “as new” boat and trailer in equal condition for that money? I don’t care what the resale is - I didn’t do it to sell it.
AMEN! That's the spirit! Same thing for me and my 1981 Citation Marquis!

I only paid $250 for my boat and trailer on Craigslist. But invested lotsa hours and about $1,000+ in tools and paint and registration and... and... and...

Loving every minute of it!

The boat would be worth AUD $25,000+ When i insure it it'll like be insured for $30,000+

I'm also making a super heavy duty trailer mover from 10mm and 16mm steel plate (sorry guys not sure what that is in imperial), im using a mini mover 2 motor and planetary gearbox, it also uses a 530 or 3/8 inch motorcycle chain and has a 39mm drive axle from a trailer this will push and pull the boat in and out of my yard20210907_132952.jpg20210907_132931.jpg

As an old retired Navy Chief Shipfitter we would just call16mm 25 pound plate. Actually it is 5/8". A 1" thick piece of steel plate weighs just a tad over 40 pounds so 1/4" plate is called 10 pound plate, 1/2" 20 pound, and so on.

The hull is rated to whatever u like to put on it, my hull is the original Caribbean V19 made by Bertram or in the same factory

There was a later update to the hull made by the Australian boat brand Haines Hunter they named the hull the V19R they are ahighly sort after hull in Australia that sell for crazy money

The blokes running the HH V19R hulls some are running 400hp+ 2x 200hp outboards on a 19ft hull

For me i got a good deal on my engine so im only running a 90hp (upgradable to 115hp)
