Ford 302 thermostat housing

Alright...so I cannot find the proper stat housing anywere. I am going to have one made and wondering about the bypass outlet. If I have it put on to the new housing do I just run a hose of a port in the water pump

Don't know if your open or closed cool, but here is the upper and lower for open.

If your willing to change exhaust system to newer type might be able to use another style

It's closed cooling and only has 2 pipes. One for each hose from exhaust manifold

Not exact design, but may work. Need to block off the one port

The issue is also room...the one in diagram is skinney and not like a block like the other

I've tried finding one and also on here. It seems to be the most elusive part on the planet. I'm done to making one and wondering about the bypass. I will weld one to flange and run a hose from water pump to it...sound right?
