Hi all, Im new to this forum and also my 1985 85hp force ouboard.
Hope someone might have an answer to my question.
I have a 15ft bayliner capri with a 1985 85hp force. My problem is that it has no spark. I noticed that the stator had very low ohm's so i replaced it and now have about 700 ohm's and 168 volts AC output on all wire pairs but still no spark. I tested the output of the stator and got only about .002 volts on all pairs of wires. The problem is that im not sure if this is caused by week magnets in the flywheel or the trigger is bad. I did get 49 ohm's on all three trigger pairs so im leaning towards the flywheel. I have cleaned and sanded off all rust areas on the flywheel with no affect. The magnets will pull a screw driver tip to it well
Any suggestions about this would be a great help.
