Hello I have a force 35hp outboard 1987” and I need piston rings because I have one of them broken. Can anyone tell me the “part code” because there are a lot on eBay and I don’t know which one is the correct. Also a site that I can buy them will be very useful! Thank you! I will post a photo.

Putting new rings into worn grooves on a 2 stroke is NOT a good idea.----Perhap E-bay with the part # will get you results for new pistons and rings.

Different manufacturers have different designs for rings.
I forget the manufacturer of premium pistons and rings states that their rings are different from the OEM.
Still perhaps not a good idea to mix old and new, unless you are just trying to get it to run long enough to stick it to someone else.
Sometimes the price of the rings alone is higher than pistons with rings.

I will not stick it to someone else. I bought that rib boat a year ago in low price to rebuild it. I changed all wires with new marine cables and I started from the beginning. When I started the engine one cylinder didn’t work and I untied the engine. I saw a little broken ring and now I am looking for new rings. I didn’t know that I have to change pistons also.. By the way I will look for piston kits. Thanks.

The 87 35 was made in 6 different models, all
6 used the same ring set
The parts are NLA from the factory but can be found
if you look around, I found them on ebay,
114659905379 look up this part quick as it cheap
and won't last long.
There is a THEIF asking 75$ for a used set so be careful
who you deal with, GL
