I have a small Force outboard and I think it is an old one. I need to know the year so I can purchase parts for it. The model is: 152F90D. The serial is: 1136. The cowling is broken up in pieces (looking for a used one) and I can't determine the hp. Also, when I searched various sites, that model/serial does not come up.

Post a pic, look to see if there’s a small sticker on transom mount; left side where engine is fastened to the vessel-with model/year/etc

Someplace on the head is a foundry stamp,
usually it's round and the center will have
the year.
Besides the cover, what parts do you need?

Awesome, I appreciate the info.. Weird little motors but couldn't find it for the life of me. By chance, is Force a division of Mercury or Chrysler? I hear mixed ideas on it.

That was about it. Tearing it apart and the last 'worry' I have is trying to get the waterpump bolts off. Got em' soaking and going to try heat. Fingers crossed.

First there was Chrysler, then US Marine(Bayliner)
bought them and that brought out Force.
Then in the early 90's Mercury bought them and
in 1991 started using Mercury parts.
Then in 95 they were pretty much Mercury except
for the block. Then in 99 they dropped the Force
completely.

Interesting.. pretty 'chincy' motors! Is there a cross reference number for the waterpump impeller? I have one blade split. Tried to find it, but real tough. I don't need the housing surprisingly.
