I posted 2 days ago and didn't address it well, here goes again---I have a '67 Force 125, fixing up --when I bought the tilt/trim motor trashed--had rebuilt at auto electric shop for $60.00---pulled pump to have this done and I may have messed up line location--also the system DID NOT have a relief screw/plug installed--the new motor runs good, new battery, pump has new fluid(hydroluic) but pump only spins as if by-pass/relief valve open; should the relief valve go into the 2nd port from rear of pump housing--it has 3 wire type with 4 lines with 1 entering from bottom and 3 from side and has 4 side ports, thanks for the help, dccrawford:eek::eek::eek:

Re: force 125 tilt/trim

relief valves are internal. the only thing that connects to ports are oil lines. on some older, tilt only, models one of the lines went to a sensor.
trim up = front bottom port
tilt up = front side
plug = 2nd front side
trim down = third side
tilt down = back side

either your motor was in real good shape or you got a really good price on that rebuild. normally it would have been more like $120. the cable is nearly $1 per foot, the entry fitting is is $7, the cap bolts are $10, and we haven't even fixed anything yet.
