I have a 1996 Force 120. Was running great. Went to go out yesterday and the motor turns over very slow. I tried to turn it over by hand and it was hard. Could not pull start it. I removed the plugs and it turns over perfectly fine. As soon as I put one plug in it go hard again.
Any suggestions?

Check for traces of water on the plugs.
Pull the plugs and unhook the gas. crank it over good to clear it out.
With the plugs in and gas still unhooked try to crank.
If she cranks then hook up and try to start it.
If it starts your golden. If it still drags then I would suspect a head gasket or some sort of mass flooding.
If it plain won't crank with the plugs in check the starter.

More than likely, it's your starter going south on you. Our starters are known for problems with one of the brushes going bad and not having enough power to turn the engine over.

I have the exact motor and I just replaced my starter because it would barely turn the motor over with two fresh batteries. The new starter works wonders now.

I tried removing the plugs and turning over with out the gas connected. Turns over fine. As soon as you put one plug in it turns over slow. With all four in it barley turns at all. The starter seems fine because I used to be able to pull start this motor.

Your starter has lost a brush internally. Mine just did the same thing last month. I would remove one plug and the starter would turn the motor over fine.

Your starter simply doesn't have the power to turn the motor over with compression on the cylinders. Time for a new starter it sounds like.
