Hi all,
It's time for new control cables on my Force 120, but I'm not sure what exactly I'm looking for. I'm pretty experienced mechanically (with bikes, cars etc), but I'm a bit lost when it comes to the wide range of cables available.
I have a 1995 Force 120 outboard, and a square quicksilver remote control (estimated from 1993 which is when the boat was built). I think that means I need mercury cables, but will any of them do or are there specific fittings for both the Force engine and the Quicksilver controls that I need to adhere to?
The boat is a 16ft and the cables are roughly 12ft long.
Could someone more knowledgeable than me please give me a push in the right direction? I'm in the UK and a lot of this stuff seems to come from the USA, so I don't want to order the wrong thing to have to ship it back.
