I've been flushing the motor after every trip using a large plastic bucket
filled with fresh water. I'll run it for a minute or so and then dump the water
refill and repeat this time disconnecting the fuel line to starve the motor of gas.A buddy of mine told me that this was not a great method and that I should get a flush kit. I can't seem to find one for that particular motor.
It has one intake under the cavitation plate. Does anyone know what I need
and maybe point me in the right direction. Can I continue flushing with the
bucket? This motor has been well maintained since 1974 and I would like to continue to do so.Help a novice out.
Thanks
