I have this sludge that leaks out while my boat sits in garage between trips. I wipe it clean before going out on the lake and nothing leaks out while running and its clean when I put it in garage. Come out the next day and I have this. Any ideas?

That's the exhaust oil that's coating the inside of the exhaust housing and as it sits it runs down and exits that drain hole. Now if water got into the lower unit it will push oil up into that cavity and as it heats up in the sun it will expand and push more oil past bad seals up top of that's an issue.

Perfectly normal. Older motors tend to make more sludge than newer ones. You can switch to a synthetic blend if it bothers you.
