it will be cooler toward the end of the month. how about a Halloween party. Halloween is a Sunday, so you could be home for the kids. punkin chunking from the boats.

Sounds like a good idea, will have to see the what, when, and where, then see if wife has job, if we have the time off and the funds to do it. It does sound like a good idea though, lets see what others think.

How many are interested in trying to put something together? Give some suggestions for places to go with all the things we as a group need, some tent camp, some (me) cabin/motel camp, there may even be some motorhome/trailer campers out there, we want to accommodate all. Would like to have access to the water for boating, fishing or whatever watersport you want to do. Probably need a good group gathering place, of course we did gather the group on the last trip in a campsite at night, had a nice building in the morning for a breakfast gathering. What ya wanna do. Need suggestions. Would be a short weekend trip not like the last one so a centrally located place would be good.

It looks like you can go pretty far up on the map, close to Jax is that possible?

The marina isn't nearly as large as it appears in pics, but I think it's doable. There are camping sites nearby and another motel-type place is right around the corner (look for Blair's Jungle Den).

Lake George also has a nice little springs on the edge (Silver Glen Springs) that is accessible by boats with less than 3' of draft. Plenty of skiing area on the lake. Lake George is 12 miles long by roughly 5-6 miles wide.

i investigated, Blair's Jungle Den, in person for this past get meet up. they staff was not friendly, a long list of rules, no tent camping.

I remember for your last posts. However, they do have motel rooms right on the water with dockage for the people that don't tent-camp.

Personally, I'll be staying on the boat (benefits of the RV-on-the-water). However, I can't go into the springs without a ride from someone.

St. Augustine area. Several marinas (downtown municiple pier, camachee cove, conch house restaurant and marina, tent camping on anastasia island, rv camping at Peppertree RV park, devils elbow fish camp/ cabins, beachers lodge , in crescent beach with boat marina 2 blks away. Tons of stuff to do and see, just a suggestion.

St. Augustine? Holy Crap!! That's a 2 day boat ride (not that I'm complaining) and $750 in fuel (NOW I'm complaining!)

However, I'll have the boat in St. Augustine Fri-Sun next week and on to Daytona for the summer.

On further thought, I have to bring the boat back around to the St. Johns at the end of summer. I might be able to postpone it a month and make it after all! Woo Hoo!!

my problem is it is too commercial, i look at this as a way to get away from the hussel and bussel.

Daytona, etc, is mostly salt water, narrow channel.

going to Ponce Inlet tomorrow, then offshore.
