Just the other side of the bridge is Shady Oaks restaurant. It looks like a trailer sitting on the side of the river, but the food is great.

I've eaten there quite a bit and the food is good, but Bonnie's (used to be the Whale Tail) has lost a bit of their reputation, but it's a better atmosphere if you sit on the deck with a cold beverage. It's nice watching the boats go by.

Actually it was Muddy Rudder just before Bonnies, owned by the guy that owns Gators. Before that it was the Wharf, and it was the Wharf for a long time and had a great reputation, great food, and great atmosphere. Never heard of Whale Tail. Either way, you are right, if you just sit on the patio with a cold beverage, it is nice. A bit pricey, but nice.

You're absolutely right. My bad. I had it confused with another restaurant. I remembered it being a two-word name and had a brain fart. Thanks for the correction. Sucks getting old.

I am actually about to put some actual dates to my travel plans this week for my business trips. I will do my best to work around whatever dates are chosen with the exception of my Alabama trips. Will try to be there before or after the meet.
