floor question

I recently started repairing a '96 Alumacraft 14 foot boat. I was planning on just replacing the carpet but ran into some issues. The plywood floor was rotten in some spots. Not a big deal so I plan on replacing the plywood with marine grade. The question is about the foam they use below the floor between the ribs. This boat sat out for about 1 year and was exposed to some heavy rain at times. The foam is very damp and is holding a lot of water. Should the foam be replaced? Or should the foam be given some time to dry out?

I would just replace it, but I guess it all comes down to time and money. If you have the money to spend, replace it. If you have time and don't want to spend the money to replace it, then take it out and leave it out in the sun to dry for a few days, or weeks.
