Float setting on 1998 Johnson J115ELECM

I am looking for the float setting for the carburetors on my 1998 Johnson J115ELECM engine. The manual only addresses the float drop. I would like to know what the float heights should be when the needle is fully seated.

Turn carburetor upside down.-----Float should be even / parallel with joint.-----What is your motor doing / not doing ?

The engine is new to me. It was cutting out like not getting fuel. Bought carb kits and after disassembly found the bowls warped and gaskets deteriorated with pieces of gaskets blocking the main jet. Ordered new bowls and wanted to make sure things were set right.

Follow those rules and you should be good.

I would recommend you doublecheck the part numbers for the carb kits, across a couple of sources. When I ordered carb kits for my '98 Johnny J150EXECD, I was sent the wrong ones. They were real close, as in most of the gaskets fit, but the carb base spaghetti seals were wrong.
