Learned some interesting stuff, regardless if it's off topic.
But the moral of the story is I think not too many people really know. And yes, common sense says, if it smells like a plane landing, and it looks like a plane landing, then get the heck outta there path cause it's coming down with props spinning.
The one takeaway I am getting from this is if a plane is circling, I should be able to tell there runway of choice based on the wind. If that's the case, I should be able to get clear away from them.
It seemed like the opposite on the lake I was at...boats were crossing daringly close to the plane during landing AND takeoff.
