Flat topping aluminum boat

I have a 12' flat bottom aluminum landau and I am trying to make a front deck. I want to make it flat from the front platform to the middle seat with a live well and storage spots for the anchor and tackle. Since it's a small boat I want to use aluminum to keep down the weight. Has anyone tried this or has anyone posted anything about this?

That is going to be my next project. I need to find a good deal on a flat bottom boat.

What do you plan to power it with?
