Five Oceans Hatch Strength

I'm looking at putting one of these in the front center section of the bow seat area (see mark-up in red below), to allow access to the storage space underneath. Does anyone have experience with this hatch? I wondering about the strength of the lid if someone steps on it. The size I'm looking at is 14-7/8 x 10-3/8". It wouldn't be be used as a regular stepping area, but someone is bound to do that at some point.

I use the Rabud industries hatches as lids for the coolers on the floor that are about that size and similar design. they hold my famineproof arse up.

When I restored my Chap I installed one of these in place of a ski locker I would never use. It’s now and anchor locker. The hatch is in the deck by the helm on an ope bow boat. It gets walked on every time the boat is used. The hatch has worked well.
