Can any one id the brass plate that is on the right side gunwale next to the throttles. looks to be some kind of special edition tag but is to worn to make out. boat is a 88 stinger 312..thanks

Yea, it's a commemorative plate from Emerson Fittipaldi - the open wheel race car driver.
