Re: Fishin Fever

I was at Cabellas in Hartford, CN on friday.

Mark, Did you find any good buys in the cave? I was there toward the end of January, thinking it would be well stocked with xmas returns, only to see they had less than what I saw in early December. :(

Well i hear about tracker boats in here.don't waste your time and money they are flat out junk.I waited 3mths for a boat that looked really good on their site, they do have a pretty site that is about all they have, well getting backI just bought the boat 2 weeks ago and sold it the next week, they are crap and very cheaply made i will never buy one again not to mention the service was the worst i have ever seen. This happened at bass pro shops in orlando,fl.I went 280 miles round trip to buy a boat and they gave me the wrong certificate of origin so i couldn't register the boat.Well i went back and it happened again and asked them to overnite it and they said they can't,well let me tell u i was fired up i'm trying to sell this boat and can't get the fast title i need to sell it because of their screw up,well long story short it took 560 miles of traveling to get this boat sold and they gave me a $50 gift card for screwing up 2 times,i told them how about some gas money to u bastards.I know u will probally say the big bass tournament guys use their boats,i would to it's free with sponsership they don't pay crap for their stuff. Now i'm sure u wanna spend alot of money there is a good boat in there somewere but get your wallet ready to be empty unless your rich.Almost all their boats are built like crap.go to boat trader and see what boat is for sale used that is and u will poop your pants compared to all other brands.I can think of 10 different boat companies off the top of my head i would get before tracker.do what u like but u will regret it in the end.just my 10 cents

Well, I had to scratch the itch today. I spent 6 hrs on the road and 7 hrs on the water in 32 degrees air temp, caught 2 fish. Now, the itch is worst. It's like potato chips, you can't just eat two. Doh!

Good one! The reels and rods were depleted. In December, they had a couple of Shimano Stradic FI's for $100. I should of grabed them!

Yes! You should have. Just like *I* should have grabbed the FishElite 480 GPS/Sonar for $199...

Wicked nice bass BTW. That wasn't in NY!!

I can wait any more, I have been working on my boat and can't wait to get it out on the water. I feel ya'lls pain I told my boss I have bassfever and bass-in-elbow, she told me I was crazy and get back to work. I told her don;t look for me to be here in 65-higher temps cause the fish are bitting!

Never show your cards, man... Now when you miss those days you'll be suspect!

I work for myself so time freedom is something I can plan on, but if I had a "real" job I think having, ahem, my "colitis act up" several times over the fall and again a few times over the winter might open up some fishing days... :p Just kidding- the truth is always the best
