I got a better look at you pictures and realized I was looking at the wrong holes. Southkogs is right on the money with his answer. I just figured out the two openings I had in mind must have been for the engine mounting.

Pulling the plug to the live well drain will only bring water into the live well to the same depth as the outside water line. If you are planning on using it you can let it fill and then put the plug in but without circulation or aeration your fish are not going to stay alive all day. Even leaving the plug out there will not be enough exchanges of water to keep it fresh but it may help a little.

...i have it plugged from the inside...

Make sure while you're on the trailer, you've pulled the hull drain plug. That'll allow any collected water to drain out of the hull.

The first pic is how im thinking i should have had the motor trimmed..instead i had it on the pin inside the plate rather than one its on in the ..pic..help me idunno..just looks straighter on the pin its on now..my transom mount on the the motor ...should i put carriage bolts through the holes at the bottom of the plate throught the boat.. To make it stronger my boat transom doesnt seem to be rotted seems like its in good shape..but would a plate be good thing to use to sturdy it up..seemed like the boat transom was littlr flimsy..i dunno,,,help..lol..help... Just dont want to screw up my first boat..the motor pushed the boat really well..im hoping some easy reinforcment..will solve my issue and ease my mind a bit..hoping my motor doesnt fall off or rip off the transom of the boat...
